Description

This tour includes a visit to Lampa, 75 km from Puno, known as the “Pink City” and the “City of the 7 wonders”. It’s archeological ruins, the famous replica of Michael Angelo’s Pieta, the colonial church of Santiago Apostol (St. James the Apostle), the chinchilla farm, its folklore, its hot springs and the Stone Bridge, are part of its 7 wonders. Moreover, we will eye witness the process of fabrication of the famous Pukara Bull, in which we will immerse on the traditions, culture and history of a town that keeps their roots alive, which will entice us to explore more and to become part of it. To wrap up this tour we will travel to the time of Lake Titicaca’s origin, observing the erosion in a 55-million-year-old rocky valley. Simply walking through the Tinajani canyon takes you back in time to a place that makes fantasy fusion with reality. All these experiences make this route ideal for those who enjoy originality.
